Whats on In London September 2012?

September heralds the end of summer in the U.K. and we do like to see it out with a bang. This year more than any other with it also heralding a summer of great sporting activities in the city, yes the Olympics is finally over.

Of course you mustn't forget the Paralympics which will run at the start of the month and will a spectacular event, with lots of free events also happening around London to celebrate it's best year ever.

Things To Do In London September Paralympics

The amazing paralympics happen in London this September. The whole of London will be affected in some way with cultural festivals occurring at the same time through out the city.

East London is where the main action will occur though and be aware that without a ticket you will not be able to even attend the Olympic park. But there will lots of other events and attractions to attend during the games for free even if you don't have a ticket.

Open House London September

Open House is a rather unique weekend in the city where by the public get the chance to visit buildings which are not usually open to the public.

the buildings range from the famous and well known such as The Houses of Parliament to private dwellings of specific archetectural or historical importance.

Mayor Thames Festival

This is a whole weekend of free events which this year marks the end of the Olympics in London and a summer of sport in the capital.

From music and dance festivals to art works and fireworks this weekend is a mixed bag of delights suitable for all ages.

A great way to finish the summer off in London.

   
Gorilla Run

A great fun run along some of the south banks famous sights.

Thousands of people don there gorilla costumes to run , walk or skip the 7km City and Bank side fun run route.

Monies raised from the event help to protect the endangered Mountain Gorillas left in the wild.

Lots of fun for spectators too.
