Whats On In London January 2013

Whats on In London January 2013?

January in London is cold and dark and often wet too so being outside is not always the best place to be. This is one of my favourite times of year to get inside away from the cold and explore some of London's museums and there latest exhibitions.

However if you do like the crisp cold air, London can provide you with a great backdrop as you skate around some of the capitals most iconic venues.

It may be cold and dark but there are still so many things which can brighten up your time here in the city, enjoy.

To save money at lots of London attractions, don't forget you can pick up a London Pass.

Jane Birkin

"Je t'aime, je t'aime... mmm.... aaah.... je t'aime..." We all remember that particular Serge Gainsbourg song right?

Well now you can go and see in concert Jane Birkin herself, who was the very breathy female voice on that classic recording that made all our Mum's and Dad's feel rather awkward and embarrassed every time it was played on the radio.

For one night only on January 31 she is performing a selection of works from her late husband Serge Gainsbourg accopmpanied by a Japanese band, at the famous Cadogan Hall near Sloane Square.
This is an extremely rare performance, so grab some tickets if you can!

Ice rink natural history museum london

Ice-skating continues at many temporary ice rinks around London, but you will need to hurry if you want to enjoy them before they disappear again until next winter.

Many finish on the 6th January (Natural History Museum, Somerset House, Hyde Park, London Eye South Bank, Tower of London and Stratford City Westfield) but a couple continue until 13 January (Canary Wharf and Hampton Court Palace).
